sustainability

Our responsibility

Sustainability is a given for us. When selecting our material suppliers and contractual partners, we attach particular importance to compliance with minimum standards and applicable environmental norms. We only produce under fair conditions in Europe.

Short transport routes

Because we produce in Europe, we do not use environmentally harmful sea routes and can avoid long transport routes. As a family business, we know our producers personally, so we can guarantee fair working conditions and ensure trusting relationships and long-term cooperation.

no harmful chemicals

Our jeans are dyed exclusively with organic, completely harmless dyes. Therefore, GlücksStern jeans do not need to be washed before wearing them for the first time. However, some dark-colored jeans may bleed slightly when worn for the first time. But don't worry, the dye is by no means toxic, it is just sitting freshly on the surface of the fabric.

Pollutant-free production

Our jeans are manufactured using environmentally friendly washing processes and gentle production technologies, which save valuable resources such as water and energy. We also drastically reduce the consumption of chemicals by using state-of-the-art laser technologies.
We source accessories such as buttons, rivets and labels entirely from Europe, and where available also directly from Germany. All ingredients are free from harmful substances and nickel.

Certified organic cotton

Our organic cotton is certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. This standard is recognized worldwide and includes strict ecological and social guidelines that are checked and documented throughout all processing steps. No insecticides are used in cotton production.

Cellulose fibers & recycled polyester

We use cellulose fibers such as TENCEL™ Lyocell, Modal or viscose. They are all made from wood from sustainable forestry and are biodegradable. They also have special properties such as being comfortable to wear and durable.

We use recycled polyester instead of new material. Recycled polyester has exactly the same properties as newly manufactured polyester. However, waste, energy and CO2 emissions are saved during material extraction.

Hemp & reused cotton

Our collection, made entirely of natural fibers, consists of a special cotton-hemp blend. This material is not only 100% biodegradable, but also super comfortable and soft. In addition, hemp cultivation is environmentally friendly and saves resources.

Reused cotton is fine cotton flakes that fall off during the spinning process. They are collected and then processed into cotton yarns using a special spinning process.

About Us

Attention to detail since 2015

As a small company, all orders are hand-packed in our warehouse in Ostrach and shipped from there. As a dynamic team, cooperation is very important, so it is not surprising that the working atmosphere is also very familial.

our company

In 2015, GlücksStern began as a family business, with headquarters in the rural village of Ostrach in Upper Swabia, not far from Lake Constance. Kevin Giesler laid the foundation for sustainability in the company's DNA right from the start.
His claim:
a high-quality and sustainable jeans brand for women with that special detail. Since then, the company has been built up bit by bit.

our collections

We release a new collection four times a year, each time for spring/summer and autumn/winter. These are designed at our headquarters in Ostrach. The process from the first sketch to the finished product includes a number of complex steps. Inspiration comes not only from the fashion world but also from the nearby Lake Constance with its idyllic landscape. The prototypes are first made by hand and optimized before they are produced in Europe.

The perfect fit

We attach great importance to the cut, so that every type of woman can find what she is looking for. We only use organically grown fabrics to ensure maximum comfort and shape stability. Each fit has its own character and is given a distinctive name, which can be supplemented with the addition BEA (=Bein Anders in der Schnittführung).
